Physical property: A yellow or brown-yellow clear liquid
Oxytetracycline has broad anti-bacterial spectrum. It has bacteriostatic action against a large number of Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria, both aerobic and anaerobic, as well as Mycoplasma and Rickettsias. The broad spectrum of activity and excellent tissue diffusion allow the use of Oxytetracycline 20% as a treatment of choice in several infections encountered in veterinary medicine, particularly: digestive, respiratory and uro-genital infections.
For the treatment of infections caused by gram-positive and gram-negative bacteria, Rickettsias, Mycoplasma in cattle, horse, sheep, goat and swine.
Administration and Dosage:
The general dose is 1 ml per 10-20 kg body weight for deep intramuscular injection.
Hypersensitivity reactions, intestinal disturbances may occur after administration. Local tissue reactions after intramuscular injection in horses or foals and rarely, severe enteritis in horses
1. Use with special care in horses.
2. Do not use in animals with impaired liver and kidney functions.
Withdrawal periods: Cattle, sheep, swine and horses: 28 days, milk: 7 days.
